LA’s Megg releases new single ‘IDC’

South Bay-bred alt-rock force MEGG unleashes her bold new single, ‘IDC’, out now across all platforms—just in time for her performance at the return of the iconic Vans Warped Tour this weekend in Long Beach, CA.

Known for her gritty blend of pop hooks and punk rock attitude, MEGG writes anthems for the loud, the loyal, and the unapologetically real. With ‘IDC’, she cranks the volume and throws a middle finger to fake, boring, and rude energy everywhere. “This is my proclamation to the world and the last single I’m releasing from the EP I’m dropping in the Fall.” says MEGG. “Its anthemic, its loud and it’s crazy fun – we really didn’t hold back on this one”

Co-written by Brian WightSophie Shredz, and MEGG, and produced by Wight and Rob Nagelhout, ‘IDC’ is 100% DGAF attitude reminiscent of Joan Jett and early Green Day with a chorus that’ll have you screaming it on repeat. Mixed by Nagelhout and mastered by John Greenham (Billie Eilish, FINNEAS), it’s another power move from an artist who refuses to play it safe.

A graduate of USC’s Inaugural Popular Music Performance Program at the Thornton School of Music, MEGG has shared stages with the likes of KISS and The Used, and headlined iconic LA venues including Saint Rocke. Her live résumé also includes performances at the Dorothy Chandler PavilionDisney Concert Hall, and national anthem appearances at Dodger Stadium, Crypto.com, LA Galaxy and LA Sparks games. You may also remember her standout run on NBC’s The Voice.

Now based in Nashville, MEGG is spreading her California punk spirit in the heart of Music City—sand still in her Vans, middle finger still raised. Following a streak of seven single drops in 2024 and fan-favorites ‘The End’ and ‘Get Over It’ in 2025, ‘IDC’ is the latest anthem in MEGG’s growing arsenal of fearless, genre-blurring tracks.
