Dave Hause leaves an unwanted relationship in the rearview on new single ‘Yer Outta My Hair’

Blood Harmony Records and acclaimed Philadelphia-bred singer-songwriter Dave Hause are excited to present ‘Yer Outta My Hair’, the latest single to be lifted from the Friday, September 26th release of ‘…And The Mermaid’, Hause’s seventh solo album. Following the album’s soaring centerpiece ‘Look Alive’,‘Yer Outta My Hair’ finds Hause detailing a poisonous relationship and the relief of having left it behind.

Additionally, Hause will be making numerous appearances spanning 2025 in support of ‘…And The Mermaid’. Performing with Joey Cape, The Bouncing Souls, Northcote, Tim Hause, Will Hoge and more in select U.S. and Canadian markets, Hause will also be making headline and festival appearances across the UK and EU through the fall.

Recorded at Rain City Recorders in Vancouver by Jesse Gander (Japandroids, White Lung), the 10 songs on ‘…And The Mermaid’ offer a welcome shock to the system — a towering rock record that blends Hause’s signature lyrical elan and gift for surging melodies with his keening vocals and some deliciously sharp musical elbows. After venturing into — and being fully embraced by — the Americana and singer-songwriter space for a few years, Hause says his current muse is leading him back to a version of where he began. “Those albums gave me enough confidence to come back to the rock and punk thing and be like, ‘Yeah, I got nothing to prove. I’m just going to be me.’”
