Wave Break, an alternative rock/emo band making waves in New Jersey, released their new single ‘Spinning Out’ on September 26th. Recorded/produced by Ryan Weil and mixed/mastered by multi-Platinum producers Zack Odom and Kenneth Mount at ZK Productions (Mayday Parade, Set It Off, etc), the single combines riffy and dynamic rock instrumentation with catchy melodies and soaring, dual clean and harsh vocals.
The video, filmed and directed by Kris Khunachak, features performance shots of the band with the camera literally spinning in different directions, creating the exact feeling in the viewer that the song is describing. Vocalist Kelly Barber says the song “was written about what it feels like to lose control of your life to anxiety and ultimately end up sabotaging your recovery by engaging in destructive behaviors.”
The single follows the success of Wave Break’s EP ‘Ignite//Decay’ and single ‘Easier Said’. Wave Break will be performing in Asbury Park on November 12th at House of Independents opening for Emblem3 and The Foxies, and plans to perform the song. The band also plans to release more singles in the near future and continue to perform across the northeast.
