Cancer Bats bring their legendary alter egos Bat Sabbath back on the road

Six-time JUNO-nominated Canadian hardcore punk heavyweights Cancer Bats are excited to announce their return to the road as their acclaimed alter egos, Bat Sabbath. Originally launched in 2011 as a heartfelt tribute to their heroes and the pioneers of heavy metal, Black Sabbath, Bat Sabbath showcases the band’s deep admiration for the genre’s roots.

This December, the group will once again bring their blistering renditions of metal classics to stages across Ontario and Quebec. Supporting the run are Sliptomb (Barrie/Toronto metal band Ethereal Tomb performing Slipknot) and Pissfits (Moncton stoner punk crew Diner Drugs performing Misfits).

The eight-date tour kicks off on December 11th at Bar Le Ritz in Montréal and wraps up on December 20th at Toronto’s Hard Luck Bar. Full tour dates are listed below. Tickets go on sale tomorrow, Friday, October 10th at 10 am EDT.

When asked to comment on the upcoming Bat Sabbath tour, frontman Liam Joseph Cormier had this to say, “In December we will gather on Canadian soil to honour the great Ozzy Osbourne in song and worship through the power of Black Sabbath! We Bats are merely four humble servants of the riff, and shall do our best to worship and exalt the legendary Ozzy across these stages! Many Hails!”
