Samara Cyn drops new video for ‘Bushwick’ featuring Ovrkast, shares upcoming tour dates

One of the most exhilarating voices in music, the LA-based artist Samara Cyn returns with the release of her new music video for ‘Bushwick’ featuring Oakland rapper and close collaborator Ovrkast part of her most recent critically acclaimed EP ‘Detour’ out now.

Directed by Mitch Ritter, the video sees Samara and Ovrkast bring to life the high-octane energy at the core of the booming track, aptly shot on the streets of Bushwick, New York. Marking their second collaboration following ‘Small Talk’, which currently amassed over 2 million views, the track oozes with the duo’s insatiable joint dynamic, firmly establishing them as one of music’s most thrilling partnerships with Samara continuing to reign high as one of hip hop’s premiere and innovative lyricists today.

Last month, Samara Cyn announced a 5-date EU Tour around her All Points East performance on Saturday 29th August. Starting off in Milan on the 26th to support Clipse at Magnolia Summer, she’ll make her way to Colours Hoxton in London (sold out), Paradiso in Amsterdam, Les Etoiles in Paris and Helios37 in Cologne to bring her electrifying live show to her fans. The video and tour news arrives hot on the heels of Samara’s sold out debut US headline tour that saw her perform the songs from ‘Detour’ EP for the first time, revealing an electrifying set that confirms Samara is not only pushing the boundaries of music with skill but is also a top tier performer. Venturing into captivating new terrains – sonically and personally, the ethos of the project offered an immersive escape into Samara’s universe where freedom reigns high. Lead single ‘oooshxt’ was the exemplar of this, with its explosive video that played with surrealism, freedom of expression and art. Featuring production by longtime collaborators Ovrkast., Whit Kane, Sherwyn, Two Fresh, Luke Titus, Kendo and Pera, the project showcases Samara’s masterful ability to shine in more alternative and unconventional realms, defying confines and establishing a sound completely her own, with talent that continues to soar. The project was lauded by NME, Numéro FR, DIY, NPR, Rolling Stone, Billboard, Complex and more.

Samara’s colossal rise has no end in sight as she comes off an explosive 2025, with an ever growing list of co-signs ranging from Denzel WashingtonErykah BaduLauryn HillDoechiiNasDoja CatRapsodyAlicia KeysIsaiah RashadTeddy Swims and more. Samara also made her festival debut at Camp Flog Gnaw last November, delivering one of the night’s most electrifying sets, as she brought her scintillating catalog to life in front of thousands alongside guests Smino and Sherwyn. Earlier on, she made her late night TV debut on The Daily Show performing her breakout track ‘Hardheaded’ from her critically acclaimed ‘Backroads’ EP, showcasing her strength as a performer and creative force. Rounding out the year, she completed her first ever national US tour supporting Smino on his Kountry Kousins Tour who personally selected Samara to support him as an admirer. Most recently, Samara headlined her North American tour.
