Belvedere release seventh studio album ‘Seven Years Of Bad Luck,’ share ‘Liability’ music video

After more than three decades at the forefront of melodic skate punk, Belvedere have officially released their highly anticipated seventh full-length album, ‘Seven Years of Bad Luck’, today via Thousand Islands Records. To celebrate the album’s arrival, the band has also premiered a new music video for the record’s focus track, ‘Liability’.

Over the course of eleven songs, ‘Seven Years of Bad Luck’ finds Belvedere continuing to refine the blend of technical precision, blistering speed, melodic songwriting, and socially conscious lyricism that has made them one of punk rock’s most respected and enduring bands.

The newly released video for ‘Liability’ shines a spotlight on one of the album’s most direct and politically charged tracks. Frontman Steven Rawles explains: A total breakdown of social norms in today’s political climate. Letting people get away with lies and removing all guard rails on what the government can get away with. We’re all liable for allowing this to happen.”

The song’s urgent message mirrors the themes that run throughout ‘Seven Years of Bad Luck’, an album that examines modern uncertainty, personal struggle, social division, and collective responsibility through Belvedere’s signature mix of intensity and melody.

After 30 years as a band and an exhaustive touring schedule that has taken them across North America, Europe, Asia, and Australia, Belvedere show no signs of slowing down. ‘Seven Years of Bad Luck’ pushes both musically and lyrically into new territory while retaining everything longtime fans have come to love about the band.

Melodic yet dissonant, melancholy yet hopeful, cryptic yet straightforward, intense yet dynamic, the album captures a band still challenging itself and its audience.

The release follows a string of acclaimed singles including ‘Crimson’, ‘Dormitory’, and ‘In Solidarity’, each showcasing a different facet of the album’s expansive songwriting and thematic depth.
