Chase & Status release their new album ‘Generic Everything,’ a 10-track record featuring an inimitable cast of collaborators including J Hus, Little Simz, Skrillex, Giggs, D Double E, Blanco, IRAH, Col3trane, Debbie, Saam Sultan, Finesse Kid and Ledbyher.
Arriving alongside the album is ‘Carnage’ featuring Little Simz, bringing together Chase & Status with one of the most distinctive voices in British music and marking the latest release from ‘Generic Everything’ – a track that has been teased across live shows in recent months, culminating in a surprise live performance from Little Simz with C&S in Toronto earlier this week.
Built around the idea of resisting conformity in an increasingly homogenized creative landscape, ‘Generic Everything’ sees Chase & Status once again refusing to be confined by genre. Across the record, the duo move between rave, rap, rock, electronic music, alt and beyond, bringing together artists and sounds from across the musical landscape while remaining rooted in the unmistakable production that has defined their career.
Speaking on the project, Chase & Status state: “ ‘Generic Everything’ is about resisting the pressure to become the same as everyone else.
In a world shaped by AI, algorithms and endless content, creativity is constantly being pushed towards what’s familiar, safe and predictable. The cube is our symbol for that pressure; a place where original ideas are squeezed into the same shape. This album is about pushing back. Every song, visual and show is an attempt to break out of the cube and create something that feels genuinely different. The idea isn’t simply that creativity is trapped. It’s that it’s being forced to conform.”
The release follows the recent announcement of the ‘Generic Everything’ Tour, a major run of UK and European arena dates taking place across February, March and April 2027. Opening at Atlas Arena in Łódź before travelling through Prague, Berlin, Amsterdam, Brussels and Paris, the tour will return to the UK for arena shows at OVO Hydro in Glasgow, Co-op Live in Manchester, two nights at Utilita Arena Birmingham, culminating in a weekend of two huge shows at The O2 in London on 2nd & 3rd of April.
The tour will take the world of ‘Generic Everything’ into the live space, continuing Chase & Status’ longstanding drive to push the scale and possibilities of their shows. It follows a record-breaking sold-out UK arena tour and their huge Milton Keynes National Bowl takeover.
