AJ Tracey and Mabel share collaborative anthem ‘West Ten’

UK chart-royalty AJ Tracey and Mabel have shared their new single ‘West Ten’ – a long-overdue reunion, landing four years after AJ featured on Mabel’s ‘Thinking Of You (Remix).’ An ode to their home of West London, the irresistible UK Garage groove picks up where AJ’s double-platinum 2019 smash ‘Ladbroke Grove’ left off. ‘West Ten’ lands in the wake of AJ’s chart-scaling singles ‘Dinner Guest’ featuring MoStack, #1 charity single ‘Times Like These,’ alongside Dua Lipa, Rag & Bone Man, and Foo Fighters, and the gold-certified ‘Rain’ with Aitch.

‘West Ten’ sees production coming from Fred again.. (Stormzy, Ed Sheeran, Burna Boy) and Take A Daytrip (Lil Nas X, Dua Lipa) Brit Award-winning Mabel’s effortless vocal performance combines with AJ‘s trademark wordplay – uplifting the undeniably addictive single to create yet another Summer anthem. ‘West Ten’ sees both musicians declaring their strong and powerful sense of self. “You know I ain’t waiting for you” Mabel states, as AJ echoes her confidence with a statement of loyalty and fact: “If life’s weighing you down then I’ll spot you.”

The video, directed by Oliver Jennings, follows Mabel and AJ through a parallel West London universe – vocally sparring as the 2-Step Garage beat drives the addictive anthem forward. Wearing his Nike Tech tracksuit uniform, AJ and his friends stand outside a Ladbroke Grove corner shop, as Mabel sings from the flat above; a stark contrast to later scenes which show them in full *star* mode, dressed in designer and singing from the rooftops.
