Arm’s Length release ‘Morning Person’ music video, announce upcoming tour dates

Following the release of their powerful sophomore album ‘There’s A Whole World Out There’ out now via Pure Noise RecordsArm’s Length are excited to unveil the new music video for the song ‘Morning Person’. The video marks the final chapter in a haunting three-part visual narrative that began with previous music videos for ‘Funny Face’ and ‘You Ominously End’.

The album’s visual narrative reaches its climax in the music video out today —a dark and cinematic portrayal of grief and memory. As director Alex Scalzo-Brown notes, Allen’s words in ‘Morning Person’ read to me like grief filling up a room, with all the most beautiful parts of something once lost, crashing into you without mercy. I believe this feeling is mutual between the living and the dead.”

‘Morning Person’ is genuinely my favorite Arm’s Length song,” says vocalist and guitarist Allen Steinberg. “I’d say it’s the most important one, at least to me. Lyrically, it captures so many emotions that I’ve had to process within not only the last few years, but my entire lifetime. Constant compulsive overthinking, debilitating anxiety and familial trauma are all themes that are tackled in this song. As a whole, it feels extremely triumphant, and writing this song truly helped me realize that I am worth the amount of space I take up in the world.”

“I think Alex Scalzo-Brown did an incredible job translating this song into visual art,” Steinberg continues. “He beautifully captures grief, and the video he created grapples with all of the aforementioned themes. The video closes the trilogy with a sense of despair, but also with the sense that all is not hopeless, and that was my intention with the song itself when it was written.”
