Legendary independent New York-based rock label Equal Vision Records and Being As An Ocean are pleased to present ‘Only Light Fills The Frame’, the brand new single from the veteran California-based emotional hardcore band. A song that confronts the call of the void and the strange comfort of imagining an end when life becomes too heavy to carry, ‘Only Light Fills The Frame’ speaks directly to the depressed, the grieving, the lost, and the isolated. The track presents itself as the semicolon — a quiet pause between surrender and survival, between unimaginable despair and the decision to keep on living.
“But it is, ultimately, about choosing to stay,” the band says. “About accepting that while ending it all may seem like the easier path, there is transformative power and profound courage in enduring, in waking up another day, and choosing to search for the light, the beauty, even when surrounded by darkness. It is an acknowledgement of suffering, but more than that, it is a testament to the quiet, defiant act of continuing.”
Marking a new chapter for Being As An Ocean, the band’s previous single, ‘None But One’, and ‘Only Light Fills The Frame’ will be supported by a tour across the month of July. With support from Vanna, lowheaven and Upon Your Dead Body in select markets, the tour will kick off on Saturday, July 10th at Preserving Underground in Pittsburgh, PA and culminate in an appearance at House of Rock in Corpus Christi, TX on Sunday, July 26th.
