Blak Madeen (Al-J and Yusuf Abdul-Mateen) collaborate with long-time ally and producer Kane Major with a new single ‘Cosmic Islamic’ featuring U-God of Wu-Tang Clan. The track is made in pure and raw hip hop fashion with a classic Minister Farrakhan entwined sample speaking to the importance of a positive message.
“We had to use the song to talk about some real subject matter,” says Yusuf. “U-God is part of one of the greatest groups ever…Wu-Tang Clan. Glad to have been part of the process,” says Al-J. “It was a good opportunity to contextualize a U-God verse with a beat that fit Blak Madeen‘s style.”
