Blak Madeen (Al-J and Yusuf Abdul-Mateen) and Leedz Edutainment revisit a momentous time with a new video redux ‘The Cause (The Arcitype Remix)’ feat. Cormega and DJ Emoh Betta. The song will be featured on their upcoming album ‘Rhyme Dawah: The Best Of 2005-2018.’
The Dante Luna-directed black and white visuals were recorded in 2010 and contain raw footage of a New York City road trip. “We drove from Boston to Brooklyn to build with Mega in the studio back in the day,” says Yusuf. “Being in the presence of greatness is amazing. Before recording with Cormega, we walked around Ground Zero and paid our respects,” adds Al-J.
