Blak Madeen (Al-J and Yusuf Abdul-Mateen) reinforce their place in the culture with a new video ‘Takin You To School’ (‘Summer School’ Remix) featuring Chuck D and El Da Sensei.
Directed by SandoFilms and produced by C-Doc, the visuals pinpoints them at In Your Ear Records in Boston, Massachusetts, capturing the essence of hip hop by going through stacks of vinyl with Chuck D making a surprise appearance on the third verse. The original track is featured on their latest album ‘Let The Good Get Even’ featuring Freeway, Sadat X, Tragedy Khadafi, Blacastan, Daddy-O and more.
“Getting El Da Sensei on this was definitely a go because of the Boom Bap feel” shares Al-J. “Chuck D was the main reason we signed to SpitSLAM. For him to be featured in this video is a pretty huge honor for us” adds Yusuf.
