Cassadee Pope releases new single ‘Eye Contact’

Off the heels of an eventful week at South By Southwest, Grammy-nominated, Platinum-certified singer-songwriter, Cassadee Pope, shares her brand new single, ‘Eye Contact.’ Co-written by Cassadee, Mitch Marlow, and Devon Lewow, the punchy track divulges on experiences of betrayal and its lasting impacts. With this release, Cassadee hopes listeners will know it’s okay to hurt, and the healing process isn’t linear. ‘Eye Contact’ gives both her and her audience an outlet to scream out those negative emotions and heal from the past.

Speaking on the song, Cassadee shares: “I wanted to write a song about the lasting effects a liar has on someone else. Sometimes the very thought of maintaining eye contact with someone after being betrayed can feel impossible. I wanted to compliment the lyric with a heavy approach sonically and I feel like that really gets the frustration across.”
