After two sweat-drenched, phone-free raves at London’s Corsica Studios, Chase & Status return with their first release of 2026, ‘Through The Pain’ featuring Pozer.
Strictly no phones allowed, the back-to-back Corsica Studios takeovers saw the duo reconnect with the raw, unfiltered energy that has always sat at the heart of UK rave culture. Across the two nights, fans packed into the intimate South London venue for surprise sets that felt a world away from arenas. Chase & Status brought out special guests including Pozer, Blade Brown and Lancey Foux, igniting multiple rumours that new music is on the way.
It is that same spirit that runs through ‘Through The Pain’, a track built for dark rooms, heavy systems and total immersion in the music. The single sees Chase & Status link up with Pozer, one of the UK’s most exciting rising voices in UK Rap.
Croydon’s Pozer is one of the most exciting new voices in UK rap right now. Direct, self-assured and impossible to ignore, his rise has been nothing short of meteoric; from becoming the first UK rapper to chart two singles simultaneously with ‘Kitchen Stove’ and ‘Malicious Intentions’ to surpassing 100 million global streams. A MOBO Award winner for Best Drill Act and BBC Sound of 2025 nominee, Pozer has earned co-signs from Stormzy, Dave and AJ Tracey while building a catalogue that blends sharp lyricism, instinctive hooks and a distinct London perspective.
The release marks the first new music from the duo in 2026 following a remarkable run that has reaffirmed their place at the forefront of UK electronic music.
After their viral Boiler Room set in 2023 and the release of the chart-topping 10-track LP 2 ‘Ruff Vol. 1’, Chase & Status delivered a string of era-defining singles. ‘Baddadan’ spent over 15 weeks in the UK Top 10 and achieved platinum certification, and saw them collaborate with Grammy-winning vocalist Flowdan. Created alongside a new generation of drum & bass producers including Bou, Mozey and Hedex, the project debuted at #4 on the UK Albums Chart.
Their momentum continued into 2024 when ‘Backbone’ featuring Stormzy became their first-ever UK Number One single, topping the charts for two weeks. The track’s success was amplified by Stormzy’s surprise appearance during Chase & Status’s sold-out record-breaking takeover of Milton Keynes National Bowl, one of the most talked-about live shows of the year.
That same run of success saw the duo announce their 2025 UK Arena Tour, which went on to become the largest UK electronic headline tour ever. Chase & Status also became the fastest-selling electronic act in the history of London’s O2 Arena.
With over 2 billion global streams, a BRIT Award for British Producer of the Year, and more than two decades shaping the sound and culture of UK dance music, Chase & Status remain one of the most influential acts the scene has ever produced.
With ‘Through The Pain’ ft. Pozer, they return to where it all began, the club floor, the soundsystem and the collective moment of losing yourself in the music. It’s a bold statement for what’s to come from the duo in 2026.
