After a two-year hiatus, British hip-hop artist Fliptrix returns with a new single ‘Mantra No. 9,’ on his own High Focus Records. Reconnecting with the classic sonics that defined his earlier output, and after many experimental stages over the years, ‘Mantra No. 9’ is both a refreshing revisit and a welcome return. The track showcases the evolution of the artist, inviting the listener into a brand new life chapter. It will feature on his forthcoming ninth album, out next year.
“‘Mantra No. 9’ is about finding freedom by reconnecting with nature,” Fliptrix explains. “Unplugging from the matrix and focusing on becoming as self-sustainable as possible, and in doing so, creating a positive future for us and generations to come.”
Fliptrix has been rhyming since he was a kid, performing ever since the doormen would let him into Speaker’s Corner, and his impact on the UK scene is as significant as his songs are adventurous and eye-opening. The London-born lyricist plies his trade as a solo artist, as well as being one-quarter of acclaimed outfit The Four Owls and managing director of High Focus Records.
With ‘Mantra No. 9,’ Fliptrix reaffirms why he is regarded as one of the most valuable and forward-thinking voices in UK hip-hop.
