Linkin Park have released a previously unreleased track called ‘Fighting Myself’ from the upcoming 20th Anniversary Edition of their multi-platinum album ‘Meteora.’ The album will be released on April 7, 2023, in different formats, such as a Limited Edition Super Deluxe Box Set, Deluxe Vinyl Box Set, Deluxe 3-CD, and Digital Download, to celebrate its legacy.
Mike Shinoda was aware of the existence of the hard-hitting instrumental for the track in the ‘Meteora’ archives, but he was surprised to discover vocal stems of himself and Chester Bennington. After giving it a deft mix, Shinoda considers it to be “a definitive Linkin Park track,” with incisive verses and bruising distorted guitars complementing Bennington‘s chorus, “Fighting myself I always lose.”
The song follows previously released ‘Lost,’ which happened to be the biggest rock song of 2023 so far.
