Pop punk heavyweights Mayday Parade are wrapping up their trilogy of albums with a brand new record titled ‘Sugar’ set for release on July 24th – it is the final part of a trilogy that began with 2025’s ‘Sweet’ and continued with ‘Sad’, which was released later that year.
“When we began working on ‘Sugar’ – part three of a three album release – I started to get concerned that we had overextended ourselves. That the good ideas had run dry and needed more time to replenish,” shares frontman Derek Sanders. “‘Weekend Music’ is one of the songs that came together and put me at ease, it has the catchiness and complexity that I was looking for. It feels good to be able to create a song that we’re proud of so deep into our career.”
