California punk rock band Pulley shared a video for their song ‘Write a Note If You Leave.’ The song was originally released in September as part of their Split EP with Fire Sale.
About the song, the band shared: “Everyone out there has experienced loss, be it a family member, close friend, or even a band member. This song was inspired by the loss of my Mom, but I think lyrically it can apply to anyone’s situation. When we were young, the days before cell phones, whenever I left the house, I had to leave a note for my Mom so she could know where I was. It’s basically a metaphor for my mom leaving this world; she wouldn’t leave the note, but at least I was able to be by her side when she finally passed. I miss her, and I miss that hand-written style of heartfelt communication.”
