Red Hot Chili Peppers reunite with John Frusciante!

In a surprising statement on their socials, legendary Californian band Red Hot Chili Peppers announced that they will be parting with their current guitarist Josh Klinghoffer, and reuniting with their longtime member John Frusciante.

Klinghoffer joined the band in 2007 as a touring guitarist and became a full-time member in 2009 after Frusciante‘s departure. During the ten years with the band, he played on two albums ‘I’m with You’ (2011) and ‘The Getaway’ (2016). Frusciante, on the other hand, was a member of the band from 1988 to 1992, and again from 1998 to 2009, playing on the band’s most successful records.

In their statement, the band shared: The Red Hot Chili Peppers announce that we are parting ways with our guitarist of the past ten years, Josh Klinghoffer. Josh is a beautiful musician who we respect and love. We are deeply grateful for our time with him, and the countless gifts he shared with us. We also announce, with great excitement and full hearts, that John Frusciante is rejoining our group. Thank you.”
