Rockwell makes return to the scene with ‘Estranged’ featuring LaMeduza

One of d&b’s most cherished household names, Rockwell, makes a bold return to the scene with ‘Estranged’ featuring LaMeduza. His first release since his 2020’s EP ‘Isolation Ritual,’ this re-entry comes highly anticipated as he’s been bombarded with messages from peers and fans alike asking when he will release new music.

Further delving into his wide range of influences, this track steers away from the traditional soulful tropes in drum and bass, showcasing gothic soundscapes combined with musical drum and bass and his trademark distorted textures. Straight up drum and bass but approaching it from an original, quintessentially Rockwell angle – this is just the start of more music from the DJ and producer expected this year.

One of the most respected producers in the game and most exhilarating talents to come out of the drum and bass scene in recent times, Rockwell’s discrete and faultless back catalog, including iconic tracks such as ‘Underpass,’ ‘Childhood Memories,’ ‘Detroit,’ ‘Please Please Please,’ and most recently ‘Vent.’ Rockwell has released on some of the biggest and most revered labels in the game – Shogun Audio, Critical, Brownswood – and collaborated with a range of artists including Roni Size, Flowdan, Sam Binga, and Breakage and remixed everyone from London Grammar to Boys Noize. His critically acclaimed 2015’s debut album ‘Obsolete Medium’ was selected by Billboard as one of their 10 Best Dance/Electronic Albums of the year.
