One of the most captivating new musical voices, Samara Cyn returns with her new track ‘Vitamins n Minerals’. Produced by celebrated rapper and songwriter Ovrkast (Drake, Earl Sweatsheart), ‘Vitamins n Minerals’ sees Samara flourishing as one of today’s premiere lyricists with a sound that honors the legacy of hip hop that inspired her, while making it completely her own with searing raps and an indelible flair. Lined with their electrifying chemistry, the song serves as the second collaboration for Samara and Ovrkast following their explosive ‘Small Talk’ track released earlier this year.
The song arrives on the heels of her staggering ‘Colors of you’ free verse that sampled J Dilla’s track of the same name and received praise from HYPETRAK, Pigeons and Planes, UPROXX, HipHop DX and Rap Daily. It also follows the release of her critically acclaimed backroads EP, which showcased a captivating body of work that is not only sonically rich but also culturally resonant. With backroads, Samara’s sound comes through brazen and boundless, not limiting herself to any one genre, she flourishes in her neo soul, hip hop fusion that leans indie pop with her powerful spoken word textures. It featured production by D’Mile (Lady Gaga, Bruno Mars, Anderson .Paak), Two Fresh, Malik Ninety Five (Playboi Carti, Doechii) and collaborations with Smino and Sherwyn.

Additionally, Samara announced she will be hosting a special Digital Detox event in Los Angeles on the 26th October. It’s a communal day for fans to come together and disconnect from technology to combat the fatigue and exhaustion from the globalised world and the demands of technology. The event will feature activities, and attendees are invited to bring their own vinyl to play throughout the day, with no phones in sight.
Samara will also be performing at Tyler The Creator’s Camp Flog Gnaw music festival in November. Samara delivered an electrifying run of shows while she joined Smino on his headline Kountry Kousins Tour. Smino personally selected Samara to support him on every date of his tour as an admirer of the young artist which has led to a genuine friendship between the two artists.
