Senses is blessing fans with a brand new EP ‘Onto Something’ marking a major milestone in their evolution as artists. At the heart of the release is the undeniably electric focus track, ‘Skin’, a fast fan-favorite and one of the band’s personal favorites. The band also debuts ‘You and I’ with the EP – arguably the most poetic song on the project. At its core, the EP explores the raw terrain of self-reflection, and while fans can learn a lot from the heartfelt songs, the band may have just learned a few things themselves along their writing journey. “We really wanted to find out what makes us tick within a relationship,” the band candidly shares.
Senses shares about ‘Onto Something’: “Our new EP ‘Onto Something’ is one of true self-reflection. Through the lens of a relationship, it takes us through all the different phases you experience within it, how you react in each situation, and what you learn about yourself along the way. Each song touches on not just what is happening between the two people in the relationship, but really how those situations make you feel, and what you discover you need or don’t need to move forward. ‘Obsessed’ and ‘Skin’ are those exciting beginning stages of just being so infatuated and into the other person and what that does to you. Whereas ‘Onto Something’ and ‘Tiptoeing’ start to introduce those hopeful, yet little anxieties leaving you questioning what’s going to come of it. As we continue through, it leads to the feelings portrayed in ‘You & I’ and ‘Clean Cut’ where you have submitted to some level of defeat but wishing it would have worked out in a different way. We really wanted to open ourselves up and find out what makes us tick within a relationship, and what we’re made of when things get complicated.”
