Reggae-punk supergroup, The Kilograms, have released the second single from their highly anticipated debut album titled ‘Beliefs & Thieves.’ ‘Faith and Love’ channels the spirit of Joe Strummer and its layers of guitars and keys, doused with reverb and delay, hang over the track like a hazy fog. The chorus is a rallying call for underdogs and glues the entire song together.
“‘Faith and Love’ feels like a conversation between two folks who have walked a similar path at different times.” – Sammy Kay (guitar and vocals). The band, which includes Joe Gittleman (The Mighty Mighty Bosstones, Avoid One Thing), Michael McDermott (ex-The Bouncing Souls, Joan Jett), Sammy Kay, J Duckworth (Newport Secret Six), and the newly added Craig Gorsline, have spent the last year on the road supporting The Bouncing Souls, Spring Heeled Jack, Mephiskapheles, The Pietasters, and more.
The Kilograms’ debut album, ‘Beliefs & Thieves’, will be released on Friday, April 4th and was recorded by Pete Steinkopf of The Bouncing Souls and mixed by Paul Kolderie (Pixies, Radiohead, and Morphine).
