The Smashing Pumpkins announce North American tour, share new song ‘Spellbinding’

The Smashing Pumpkins have just announced The World Is A Vampire Tour, which is set to cover 26 dates across North America. The tour will kick off on July 28th and will feature special guests including Interpol, Stone Temple Pilots, and Rival Sons, as well as National Wrestling Alliance (NWA) champions, who will compete in most cities.

This tour has already sold-out 30k plus capacity shows in Mexico City and cities across Australia this spring, and the band plans to expand to more countries in the future. The artist pre-sale is scheduled from March 28 at 12 pm local until March 30 at 10 pm local, with general on-sale starting on March 31 at 10 am local time.

“I grew up in a world where I needed to know bands like Siouxsie and the Banshees and The Cure existed, it meant there was a place for people like me to hang out and belong. That’s what The World Is A Vampire is about. Bringing back that sense of community. If you don’t fit in, you belong here. It’s about having a shared experience and respecting others, but ultimately having fun. A true alternative festival, where all the self-proclaimed weirdos and outsiders of the world can get together and have a party,” shares Billy Corgan.

In addition to the tour announcement, the band shared a new song ‘Spellbinding,’ which can be heard below.
