Manchester-hailing, LA-dwelling emerging rap sensation Tunde further solidifies his status as one of the most promising talents in the world of UK rap with new single ‘Sunset BLVD’. The addictive new single follows on from ‘Thug With Me’, featuring US rapper Mozzy, which landed earlier this Spring.
‘Sunset BLVD’ sees Tunde gliding across a Honeywood Six – produced beat as he talks about how far he’s come in his life and career; speaking on his time living in the USA and the lifestyle he’s adopted, he still remains authentic and stays true to his Mancunian roots – “Rolling round the city like I’m Rashford. I’m the kid now.”
The single lands alongside a deluxe visual, full of diamonds, watches, Rolls Royce cars and Beverly Hills mansions. Tunde is pictured standing in a basketball court which is emblazoned with the words “You can’t cheat the grind” – serving as a further testament of his hard work and well-deserved accolades.
Earlier this year, the MOBO Awards, renowned for recognizing outstanding achievements within music of black origin, bestowed the Best Newcomer accolade upon Tunde in a star-studded ceremony earlier this month, with the award being accepted by his good friend and collaborator, Potter Payper. Tunde’s win reflects not only his exceptional talent but also the incredible support he has garnered from fans and industry peers alike; an ever-growing and inimitably loyal fanbase. A testament to this, in 2023, Tunde’s debut mixtape ‘First Lap’ debuted at Number 4 in the official charts, Number 1 in the Independent Charts, and Number 1 in the Hip-Hop/R&B Charts.
