The Boy Detective share new single ‘Good Year’

It’s so easy to get overwhelmed with everything going on in the world today. Usually, with that sense of hopelessness and despair that comes with trying and difficult times, it’s easy to just shut down and disassociate. Detroit area ska punk band, The Boy Detective, have a different idea to help make things better.

Instead of stressing about not being able to control the uncontrollable, on ‘Good Year’, the band suggests it’s time to focus on something you can have a positive effect on … yourself. By looking inward and working on yourself, you’ll be on your way to having a pretty good year in no time.

‘Good Year’ is the band’s second single off their upcoming full-length ‘Disco Lunch’ releasing this November, 2025. It has a great message, infectious chorus, and one of the best horn sections in ska punk today. The rest of the band ain’t too shabby either. If you haven’t been introduced to The Boy Detective yet, there’s no better time than now. 2025 is going to be a “pretty good year” for them.

“Just when you thought that the person in the mirror can’t change for the best, The Boy Detective gives you a template for how to turn things around and have a…pretty good year. With all the garbage the world has to offer, we must find hope in the future by changing what we can, ourselves,” shares Benny Capaul
