Magnolia Park release new single ‘Manic’ with Blink-182 inspired music video

Pop punk upstarts Magnolia Park have dropped brand-new single ‘Manic,’ their first new music since 2022’s full-length ‘Baku’s Revenge’ featuring fellow Florida pop-punk band 408.

“The concept of the video is a new take on ‘Dammit,’ but we wanted to make a new spin on it,” vocalist Joshua Roberts explains “I think we kept the essence of such a polarising song and video, and made it unique and fun to watch for the newcomers and the rock mainstays to show we are here to stay… while also paying homage to those before us.”

When asked about the single, guitarist Tristan Torres described it as the “ultimate break-up anthem, fusing that classic Pop-Punk sound with our modern flare. The inspiration was a combination of everyone’s worst break up” while Roberts said the song is about “toxicity” and “how it can ruin a person or even a whole relationship.”

“The second verse we wanted to convey something that everyone has gone through so when we wrote, ‘You’re always going through my text’ and ‘gaslight me make me think I’m dumb’, we wanted to convey something that was true. I mean, in my case it was very much personal experience.”

Magnolia Park are also heading out on tour across the UK in August.

August 22nd – Boston Music Room – London, UK
August 23rd – King Tut’s Wah Wah Hut – Glasgow, UK
August 25th – Reading & Leeds Fest – Reading, UK
