Nick Nurse and City and Colour announce collaborative benefit hoodie

In what may be the most Canadian news piece of the day, Toronto Raptors head coach Nick Nurse got together with Toronto-based singer-songwriter City and Colour. In a collaboration that may, or may not be inspired by Nurse‘s last year’s interview with Complex Canada, where he expressed his love for Green‘s music, the two are releasing a limited edition hoodie in celebration of the 1 Year Anniversary of the Nick Nurse Foundation.

The foundation itself supports a series of programs that assist in the academic development of children and young adults while exposing students to music, sports, and literacy, which heavily influenced the design. The hoodie comes in three colors – white, blue, and pink, and features a central image including a basketball, guitar, skateboard, notebook, and pen, as well as a few other items that represent Green‘s and Nurse‘s interests. Along with the main graphic, on the sleeve, there is an NYHC-inspired logo simply saying NNxCC.

“Super excited about this collaboration with Dallas and City and Colour,” says Nurse in a statement. “I’m honoured to be able to give back and support the community; it’s always been important to me.”

“It’s incredible to see what Nick has done for the community and the impact he’s had,” says Green. “I’m very happy to be able to lend some of my time to the great foundation that him and his team started.”

All profits from the sale of this item will be donated to the Indspire City and Colour Indigenous Student Bursary which will assist First Nations, Inuit, and Métis students as they work towards accomplishing their post-secondary education goals.

The hoodie is available for pre-order HERE.
