I absolutely love that place, the staff, and all the events they do. Plus, I love the idea of sharing a look inside the songs before they are polished and ready for the public. I have all this stuff sitting around, so I am really glad we get to share some of it!” – Jaret Reddick

Artifact of the month: Thanks Ma, Remembered To Take Out The Trash – An exhibition celebrating The Replacements.

‘Thanks Ma, Remembered To Take Out The Trash’ – An exhibition celebrating The Replacements. On loan from Nick Madonna.
“I’ve been building my collection (yesterdaystrash.net) since high school, accumulating, trading, and rescuing ephemera over the years, including some salvaged from a dumpster outside the old Warner/Sire offices in Atlanta. For a long time, this “trash” was private, displayed only for my own enjoyment around the walls in my office. My wife often encouraged me to share it, but I never wanted to flex my collection like some bigshot trying to win a contest. After some convincing, I finally decided to share everything, but I did it in a way that benefits something I care about. Put some good into the world and try to combat the cynical and dark timeline that we live in, you know? In 2022, I began hosting live shows in Philadelphia and Brooklyn, with the collection on display. Entry was always free, but I asked attendees to donate to Mutt Mutt Engine, a Minnesota-based nonprofit dog rescue run by Sally and Chris Mars. As it became difficult to organize additional live shows, I moved the collection online and continued to support Mutt Mutt Engine through donations. Now, in 2026, part of the collection in the Punk Rock Museum…which is insane and amazing. Everything I do with the collection is driven by the desire to do good. Whether you visit the museum exhibit or just read this blurb, I hope you’ll consider donating to Mutt Mutt Engine or finding your own way to give back to your community.” – Nic
