The Punk Rock Museum is the world’s most comprehensive attraction dedicated to the history of the music, culture, and absurdity of punk rock. Located in Las Vegas, it houses artifacts and memorabilia from across the world’s punk scene—such as handwritten lyrics, instruments, clothing, photos, flyers, and artwork.
Encompassing 12,000 square feet at 1422 Western Ave, between the Las Vegas Strip and Downtown, the museum celebrates the genre’s substantial cultural impact over the last half-century. This year’s June tour guides are Jesse Michaels (Operation Ivy), Greg Hetson (Circle Jerks), Keith Morris (Circle Jerks, Black Flag), Nathen Maxwell (Flogging Molly).

June 7th – Subcultural Appropriation – A Tiki x Punk Art Show:

Join us for the Subcultural Appropriation art show – an explosive collision of seemingly disparate subcultures!
Opening June 7th with an artist reception starting at 7 PM featuring performances by The Hypnotiques, The Rum Bones, guest DJ and signature tiki cocktails. Our new exhibition explores how punk rock and tiki culture-both born in the 80s in Southern California as a rebellious response to Reaganomics and capitalism-share a fundamental spirit of resistance. Subcultural Appropriation has 10 artists who relate to both worlds.
Where punk expressed anger through raw energy and catharsis, tiki offered escape through tropical fantasy and rum-soaked liberation. Both flipped the middle finger to mainstream America’s puritan values, embracing a more authentic, feral existence.
Featuring an incredible lineup of artists; Shag, Doug Horne, Ken Ruzic, Candy, Bamboo Ben, Dave Warshaw, Matt Reese, Thomas Fernandez, Dirk Vermin and BigToe whose work synthesizes these rebellious movements into something entirely new.
Be sure to catch the exclusive preview of ‘Rum & Riot’, a documentary by filmmaker Vanessa S. Damelio of Pop Theory, available to watch during the opening exhibition event. Experience visual art and music that captures the DIY ethos of punk and the exotic escapism of tiki culture-all under one roof!
The Punk Rock Museum is celebrating tiki culture throughout June with a new exhibition, cocktail workshops, live entertainment, and exclusive merchandise. More announcements coming soon!
June 20th – 22nd: Punk Rock Legend Keith Morris to do Guided Tours and a Book Talk at The Punk Rock Museum

The Punk Rock Museum is proud to announce that Keith Morris (Black Flag vocalist and founding member of Black Flag, Circle Jerks, and OFF!) will be leading guided tours at the museum from June 20th to 22nd. In a rare and intimate experience, fans will have the chance to hear firsthand stories from one of the most iconic and uncompromising figures in punk rock history.
Between tours, Morris will be joined by acclaimed author Jim Ruland, co-writer of ‘My Damage: The Story of a Punk Rock Survivor’, for a special book talk and signing. Together, they’ll delve into Morris’s raw, unfiltered memoir, which chronicles his four-decade journey through the highs and lows of the punk scene, battles with addiction and illness, and his unwavering commitment to DIY ethos and musical integrity.
With his waist-length dreadlocks and unmistakable voice, Morris helped define the sound of Southern California hardcore and left an indelible mark on punk history. ‘My Damage’ is more than a punk rock memoir—it’s a gritty, street-level account of life onstage, backstage, and in the trenches of a genre that continues to thrive.
Jim Ruland is an old punk who lives by the sea. He is the author of the novels Make It Stop and Forest of Fortune and the short story collection ‘Big Lonesome’. He is also the LA Times bestselling author of ‘Corporate Rock Sucks: The Rise & Fall of SST Records’, which was named a best book of 2022 by Pitchfork, Rolling Stone and Vanity Fair. Ruland is the co-author of ‘Do What You Want’ with Bad Religion and ‘My Damage’ with Keith Morris. Jim is a frequent contributor to ‘Razorcake’ fanzine and the LA Times.
