The Wrecks share a dynamic video for their newly released blustering single ‘Things You Make Me Do.’ While the song is about being in an inescapable one-way relationship, the cinematic video directed by Natalie Hewitt starts off by following vocalist/producer Nick Anderson around a sun-filled house doing his daily morning routine until he ventures outside to take out his frustrations by smashing things.
“We’ve been overwhelmed by the fans’ support on ‘Things You Make Me Do’ and how it got more streams in one day than any of our music,” Anderson exclaims. “For this song we worked with Natalie Hewitt (who creatively directed the ’Sonder’ album artwork and videos) to do the video and it perfectly depicts the song of doing things for people you love that you don’t want to necessarily do like going to a rom-comm with your partner or trying to dress up for someone you want to impress.”
The ‘Things You Make Me Do’ single arrived in tandem with the announcement of ‘Sonder Deluxe’ – the Deluxe Edition of the band’s critically-hailed June 2022 sophomore album which will be released on November 4, 2022, via Big Noise. The video comes right on the heels of the band’s Back And Better Than Ever Tour – which kicked off in Reno, Nevada at Cargo Concert Hall last night – and features support from CARR and Arlie.
